Miles of memories, a family caravanning adventure begins.
This young family has joined the Great Escape Caravanning family with a meaningful purpose to create a ‘life filled with connection, freedom, and unforgettable moments’.
This journey has only just begun, with the delivery day of their family caravan with bunks just this past month. Custom-built to suit their own tastes and requirements for comfort with three growing boys.
Planning to travel in Australia, this family will be sharing their adventures as Great Escape Caravan owners with us, while also showcasing their own product selections, tried and tested during their adventures across the country.
Troy and Stace say, “Being able to see something in real life, to touch it, use it, experience it — is incredibly valuable when it comes to confidently sharing it with our community.
If it’s here, it’s because we trust it. If we recommend it, it’s because we live it”.
You may see them at future caravan shows with our team giving personal tours of the family caravans on display and giving you the inside scoop on what it’s like to work with Great Escape Caravans on a custom caravan build.
“We had such an amazing experience with the team at Great Escape Caravans. Buying a van for our family was a big step as we prepared for a big change, and the whole team made the process feel so easy and exciting.
Jason, Anthony and Chantel were absolutely incredible throughout the entire journey. They were so helpful, patient and knowledgeable, answering every question we had and making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they genuinely made the whole experience effortless for us.
You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Thanks to them, what could have felt overwhelming turned into such an exciting and enjoyable process for our family.
We’re so grateful for all their help and couldn’t recommend Great Escape Caravans highly enough. Thank you, Jason, Anthony and Chantel for helping our family start this next adventure together”. Stace Burton via Great Escape Caravans Google review page.
Custom-built caravan for family adventures.
During the manufacturing process of their very new family caravan, Troy and Stace visited Litchfield Caravans, where each Great Escape Caravan is built, to see their own caravan in progress. While every customer of ours is kept up to date with images and videos from the factory as Anthony visits to follow its progress, these guys made a personal visit to see what’s what.
See Troy and Stace’s caravan as they visit near you.
When this keen caravan family came to us initially with the idea of showcasing @greatescapecaravans while on the road, we were thrilled!
The ability to not only follow their adventures but also steer other caravanners toward them as they travel our beautiful country on a tour of one of their caravans in person is invaluable!
We often have families in remote areas or cities who ask where they can see one of our caravans up close, and by following this family on social media, you may be able to see one sooner rather than later.
The team plans to attend caravan expos, caravan shows, and, of course, many, many campgrounds along their BIG lap of Australia between slow mornings, remote school, and nights spent by the fire, and we are here for it.
Doing a big lap of Australia is the dream plan, and making a caravan their home on wheels has been part of what the family has shared on their socials so far. See the build process by visiting @milesofmemories.au on Instagram and give them a follow!
Troy & Stace’s custom caravan layout and design.
Choosing a family caravan with bunks that maximised space and plenty of storage for extended travel in Australia drew these keen caravanners to the Wildone 21.6 floorplan.
This compact family caravan layout allowed for three spacious bunks for the boys and plenty of sleep space for mum and dad, too.
Set up with off-grid capabilities, this custom Wildone 21.6 includes:
- 3.5T Tuff Rider suspension
- 16 x 265 tyres
- Truss chassis
- 4 x 250w solar panels
- 2 x 300AMP lithium batteries
- Diesel heater
- Dometic FreshJet Aircon
Beautifully designed interior to suit the family’s planned adventures, while still feeling like home. The stunning interior includes the personal choices of Troy and Stace.
- Gold tapware
- Crisp white sinks, shower frame and cabinetry
- Lightly-patterned laminate splashback to the kitchen and ensuite
- Warm leather look brown upholstery
- Light timber look flooring and benchtops
- Sage green exterior with black accents and checkerplate
A beautifully coastal-looking family caravan for this family of five is sure to provide a cosy home for many adventures.
Perfectly designed for action-packed days, the couple included an external shower and plenty of Vendline drying racks, both inside and out, to keep those bathers and towels under control! With a washing machine included in the family’s caravan, a fun life on the road is easily achievable.
Paired with the practicality of the custom-designed kitchen, life will certainly be manageable, comfortable, and very rewarding on any journey. This thoughtfully designed kitchen has all they need, and nothing they don’t.
Some of the custom design ideas that make this Great Escape Caravan unique may inspire you for long family trips. The family chose to make some changes to a traditional Wildone 21.6 layout by:
- Removing the oven and replacing it with a multi-convection oven/microwave/air fryer
- Adding a hose-style kitchen tap
- Including a full-height pantry
- Utilising a hydraulic table leg
As with all Great Escape Caravans, we are here to support you in customising a design to suit your wishlist and will work closely with you from the initial call, right through to delivery day and all the trips you do for years to come.
